University of Pune awarded Rs 300cr under “National Innovative University” project

University of Pune is one of 4 universities that are being awarded Rs. 300 crores from the Government of India under the “National Innovative University” project, according to an article in Sakal. The other 3 universities are Jadhavpur (Kolkata), Hyderabad, and Delhi.

The money is intended for use to develop high-quality educational infrastructures and tools for graduate level study on biodiversity, science, teacher training, poverty alleviation, and study of traditional herbal medicines of the Deccan Plateau, over the course of 5 years.
