Pune loses nanotech, biotech institutes to B’lore/H’bad for lack of land

Shortage of land has made Pune lose out to Bangalore and Hyderabad in housing two premier research institutes, the National Institute of Nanotechnology and the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology.

He said Pune’s loss was Bangalore and Hyderabad’s gain. “These are not the only two institutions. There are several existing research institutions seeking to expand. However, land crunch has seen them move out of the city as well,” said Jagdale.

    if there is not more land in pune. Then they must think about other cities in maharashtra.
