Fab.com is an online “deals” website specifically targeting ‘design’ items. Earlier used this company used to be Fabulis, a social network targeting gay men, but they completely changed their business in April this year.
It appears that the pivot has helped Fab.com and it just got funding from Ashton Kutcher, SV Angel, SoftTech VC and prevous backers First Round Capital, Baroda Ventures and The Washington Post.
Fab.com has been founded by serial entrepreneur Jason Goldberg who uses Pune’s True Sparrow Systems for development of his startups. Previously, Jason Goldberg founded social|median, which was also developed by True Sparrow, and sold it to Xing.
