Automotive development company Defiance opens center in Pune

According to a Business Standard Report

Defiance Technologies Limited, a Hinduja Group company has set up its development centre in Pune with a focus on the automotive and engineering industry.

The Pune centre will start with a team of 50 and will ramp up to about 1500 in three years time. The company serves the aerospace customers from Bangalore, where Defiance is expanding facilities.


Defiance was involved in the development of the powertrain and the design and development of Ashok Leyland ‘Dost’, the new LCV launched by the AshokLeyland-Nissan Motor joint venture (JV). It has also worked on upgrading the Ashok Leyland Stallion trucks and development of a new solution for defence mobility for the Indian army.
