3 NCL Pune Scientists win CSIR’s 2011 Young Scientist Awards

Three scientists from the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) Pune have been awarded the Young Scientist Awards by CSIR (Council for Industrial and Scientific Research), reports DNA

Dr. Amol Kulkarni works in the area of total syntheses of bio-active natural products. His background includes a PhD from ICT (formerly known as UDCT), and post-doc research at Max Planck Institute, and MIT (USA).

Dattatraya Dethe’s work includes simplified analogues for structure-activity relationship studies and new drug discovery programmes.

And Rahul Banerjee does research on design and synthesis of porous metal organic frameworks (MOFs) for reversible hydrogen storage and carbondioxide sequestration applications.
